Pessi Margulies / Israel – USA – Artist in Residence

Pessi Margulies acquired her art education at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and in Tel Aviv with artists Yair Garbuz and Rafi Lavi. She continued her education at the School of Visual Arts and New York University, where she studied art and psychology and received her Masters Diploma in art therapy. Her work is in numerous private collections and has been shown in Israel and the USA. Pessi resides and works in New York since 1991.

Our mission

The meaning of 'Home' has become ever more elusive and complex, especially in these times of financial uncertainty, rapid technological developments and extreme urban change. The HomeBase Project creates a unique platform for a multi-disciplinary artistic exploration of the notion of home as the foundation of humanity. It aims to foster a sense of interconnectedness in society through the arts, awaken social responsibility and integrate contemporary art into everyday urban living.
